Candida symptoms and Cures Candida is a bacterium which is present in all our guts and in the correct balance it is completely benign and does no harm at all. However when it is out of synchronisation it can cause havoc. Unfortunately as we all have it is difficult to diagnose because there is no reliable test for its presence, as it is there naturally in small quantities. To make matters worse there is a whole range of non specific symptoms associated with it. That means although there are drugs which will ease Candida an overall cure normally involves a change of diet. There are no hard and fast rules as to how strict the diet has to be and no hard and fast rules about a time limit. Some have had the symptoms for twenty years and of course they will need a stricter diet than that new sufferers’ because the Candida has taken a hold.
