Homeopathic yeast infection pills have yeast in them? How does that work?

I actually am pretty sure I have bacterial vaginosis, but I got Nature’s Cure homeopathic yeast control pills because they have yeast in them, which I figured would help. but it got me wondering… how in the heck is it supposed to work for a yeast infection??? I’ve seen other brands of remedies labeled "homeopathic" with candida yeast as a main ingredient, as well, so it’s not just Nature’s Cure being weird.

Homeopathy is based on the idea of curing illnesses etc. by taking what you are actually trying to cure ( a bit like the way vaccines work ). What you need to take is a probiotic with acidophilus and similar organisms. They are brilliant at preventing yeast infections if you are on antibiotics.
I don’t know how effective homeopatic remedies are for yeast infections. I know they can be quite effective for some problems but it always sounds weird to me the way they are supposed to work.

pleaseeee help!!! thank you sooo much!!!
thanks i dont think i have it because i am not itching…but saying that made me itchy..haha, but thanks anyway :]

Yes, if you have a yeast infection you should be experiencing a lot of irritation in and around the vagina. Mostly itching and burning sensations. You should also have more discharge than normal, and it should be very thick and mucous. There is generally also an unpleasant odor– often described as "fishy".

Yeast INfection?

what are symptoms of it and are bumps included and if not what could it be? if all the symptoms lean to Yeast Infection?

Well i’ve never heard of bumps while having a yeast infection. When you have a yeast infection usually you will have white or yellow discharge thats kind of thick. Sometimes it can cause itching or pain. Either way, the best way to find out and solve this problem is to see a gynocologist and get yourself checked out. It may be embarassing to have to do so, but its well worth it.

yeast Infection?

I don’t know if I have one, but i have yellowy-green discarge and i mean sometimes there is so much that it soaks through. & there are these weird black specs in my discharge too. The smell is horrible, realllly strong fishy odor, and sometimes I am itchy down there. Also is there a way if i had it that I could treat it without going to the doctor, I have a fear of the doctors and would like to avoid it but I will go if I need to. & is a yeast infection fatal? Please no mean answers…
No, I am not sexually active

If it is that bad, you’ll have to go to the gyno. All the Dr. will do is swab for yeast and in minutes he’ll let you know, then give you and ORAL pill which is MUCH less messy than the OTC yeast infection treatments, and about the same price. You can get OTC meds. and see if you feel better, but you should definately see a Dr. before you misdiagnose yourself when something else could be wrong. If you let a yeast (or any vaginal) infection go too long, I’m pretty sure it can have damaging effects on the reproductive system…

Yeast infection?

I’m 21 and I was just at the doctor’s today. I’ve never had a yeast infection before but my doctor told me that the anitbiotics I just finished have given me a yeast infection. She gave me a 1 day treatment and advised that I pick up a 7 day pack of monistat. What am I to expect while trying to cure this? I’ve heard it like "runs" out of you? Any tips or advice would be great.

Yeast infection are so annoying.
Antibiotics kills not only the bad bacteria but also the good bacteria in the vagina.
Since you are not suseptible to yeast infections, ask your doctor for the 1 pill ( but it costs around $10.00) or just do the Monistat treatment.
While you are going through this, expect itching and possible discharge.. Do not douche during this time either…
Eat lots of yogurt during antibiotic treatment, it puts back the PH balance in the vaginal wall..
Avoid sex during this treatment also….

Dog has Yeast Infection How can i cure it?

My dog has a yeast infection and I don’t have enough money to take it to a vet. Are there any home remedies or shampoos that I can use to cure the yeast infection? Thank you.

first of all where is the yeast infection at? If it is on the body of the dog you can use over the counter monistat 7. I have used the inserts in one of my dogs I know that sounds grose but I have used it for 3 days cut it into 3rds or forths and inserted it into the uritheria. At the same time I bought yougart over the counter vanilla, lemon things that they will eat that have no berries or choclate. do yougart twice a day like two table spoons depending on how big the dog is. I did this together for a week and had no problems with her health. It was a cocker spanial. I found out though that she would get better for a few months no redness or swelling and it would come back due to the food we were giving her. We changed her diet to purina one lamb and rice and once a week give her yougart for good measure and had no more problems. If it is on the out side on the skin bath the dog like everyother day I know this can be tiring but after she is clean and dry apply monistat 7 cream to the areas and use it for a week but you must make sure that she is clean when applying the oil on the skin doesn’t allow it to penitrate the skin very well and can take longer and more cream. Anyway I did this to two different dogs and the monistate suggestion came from a vet. One last thing if your still unsure what to do. call your local animal rescue foundation they usually have a vet that comes in to treat animals in there area free of charge you just have to pay for the meds like if they need a rabies shot you have to pay for the shot not the vet and they can give you advice too for free most people don;t know this I actually found this out myself anyway i hope this helps.

How to heal a yeast infection naturally?

Posted on February 4th, 2010 by admin

I have been fighting what I am guessing is a yeast infection for over a week now. It hasn’t gotten extremely bad until today, I am not wanting to take an antibiotic because I am 34 weeks pregnant. Any suggestions or ideas for natural solution to clear this up?

As well as treatments you also want to make sure you’re not doing anything to make the infection worse. Normal vaginal health; wash regularly but only with water (soaps, washes, wipes, sprays, powders, douching, or even ‘feminine’ cleaning products all effect vaginal pH so cause infections), keep yourself dry (avoid tight or synthetic clothing), safe sex (anything that goes into your vagina should be clean, no food stuffs), and always wipe front to back.

Yogurt is the best known way, it contains lactobacillus acidophilus, a bacterium that also happens to be found in healthy vaginas and that kills yeast by producing hydrogen peroxide. You need to insert plain pro-biotic yogurt into your vagina, do this before bed to avoid mess then wash in the morning, do this for a few days to get rid of the infection. You can put the yogurt into ice cube trays to make it easier to insert, the cultures don’t survive as well but this way is less mess and the coolness helps ease the irritation.

Garlic, not recommended if you’re sexually active, but it works as it contains natural antifungal substances that kill off yeast. You insert a garlic clove into your vagina, peel beforehand but do not score the clove in anyway as this can sting your vagina, if worried about removal you can use a little clean muslin around it or tie string around it for easy removal.

Tea tree oil *check with your doctor!* essential oils tend to be a bit of a grey area when it comes to pregnancy, better to be safe then sorry. It’s a generall all-round anti-nasties, if you have a menstrual cup, softcups or a diaphragm you can put a few drops of the oil into these then insert into your vagina, ideally dilute with water but it is safe to use neat. Otherwise you can use an old jug, fill with warm water and put a few drops of the oil into the water, then use the water to wash over your vulva, best to do this in the shower or over the toilet to avoid water getting everywhere. If you can handle it you can just put a few drops directly onto your vulva and into your vagina, but it can sting.

Cranberry juice, these are used when you have a urinary infection as the berries contain substances that inhibit bacteria from clinging to the walls of your urinary tract, but they are also a plus because cranberries lower the pH of your urine, which then passes over some of your vulva on it’s way out so may help tackle a yeast infection or at least ease symptoms a little.

Can a male get a yeast infection? What r the signs/symptoms? Is there anyhting that will happen to ur balls
Do u get little dots that are itchy on your scrotum if you have a yeast infection?
My genitals and butt dont smell

Yes men can get yeast infections. You can get a bad smell down there and they can be very painful, especially during intercourse. nothing should have to you testicles. However, you’re going to want to see your pcp to get on some meds to clear it up. This won’t clear up on it’s own, generally.

What are the signs of a yeast infection?

I have a yeast infection. I am treating with Monistat. But before I used the medicine today, besides your normal signs, my mom told me that these symptoms are also of a yeast infection. Bloating, nausea, pukeing on long car rides or from the smell of coffee, spotting, and being really tired. I think these other symptoms are signs of pregnancy, not related to my yeast infection. What do you think?

You are right. The signs you mentioned are NOT signs of a yeast infection, those are itching, discharge, painful urination.

How long after you have a yeast infection can you become sexually active?

I noticed symptoms of a yeast infection Saturday, & actually got a LIVID yeast infection on Monday. I used the 3 day Monistat treatment and i actually got a prescrption also. The next day, it was gone. I still use the cream because sometimes it can get itchy=/. Is it alright for me to become sexually active again?

Yeast infections can be passed back and forth between sexual partners, through regular intercourse and oral sex. If you had one, it is most likely that your partner does, too. Everyone involved should be treated for the same yeast infection.
